March 2018
What a very busy month we have had in the Emu room.
We have had two projects going for the month. It’s a bugs 🐞 life and Pirates. We have been following the children’s interests with these subjects. Come in and have a look at our two project walls.
We have also had Henny Penny Hatching 🐣 how amazing was that. All of the children enjoyed watching from eggs to chicks. We talked about the life cycle of a chicken as well as a lot of conversations re our eggs we buy from the supermarket.
Easter has also been a big interest with lots of craft. We have had many conversations about what we will be doing for Easter as a family. The Easter bunny 🐰 has also been a very keen topic. This afternoon is our Easter Hat Parade. We have worked really hard so we hope everyone will enjoy.
Our playground looks amazing. We have two new hutches for our pet rabbit Caramel and our two pet guinea pigs. Have a look them.
Have a very Happy Easter
Thanks, Miss Marg, Miss Julie and Miss Emily.

This week in the Emu room we celebrated Australia Day , we spoke about being Australian and how we are a multicultural country even though we don’t look the same. We learnt to sing Waltzing Matilda, We Are Australian, and Advance Australia Fair. We made the Australian and Aboriginal flags which are displayed on our wall, we read Aboriginal Dreamtime stories and even had a thong throwing competition!
Our babies area has been very popular as well as our block area. The drawing table has been very busy with the children focusing on writing their names This week we said goodbye to our beautiful friends Abby, Fletcher and Spencer, we wish them well starting at their new schools. Happy Australia Day everyone!
Have a wonderful weekend Miss Marg, Miss Emily, Miss Julie and Miss Indi.
